How do I resize or rotate my images before upload
Windows XP has built in facilities to allow you to do this. Follow the instructions below:
Go into windows explorer by right clicking on the 'Start' button and choose explore
Goto the folder where your photos are (make sure you save a copy first)
As per the diagram below launch the windows picture viewer on the photo to change by right clicking on the photo file
When in the viewer, if you wish to rotate the image clockwise or ani clockwise click the buttons at the bottom (circled red)
If you wish to change the size, then click the 'edit image' button, circled green
This will launch the default image editing package. The options to resize depends on the image editing software
but you want to aim to resize to about 500 pixels wide. Popular packages:
- Paint. Choose 'image', 'stretch/skew' and change size to smaller one.
- Microsoft Office picture manager.Choose 'picture','resize' and choose pixel width.
- Adobe photoshop / elements.Choose 'image','image size' and choose pixel width.
Dont forget to save your images somewhere before uploading them to monstermates.
